The last heat of Felixstowes Got Talent took place last night to a packed house. Another night of variety and entertainment was provided by some great local dancers, singers and even jugglers. But somehow 14 participants had to be cut down to just 4. Who goes through ? read on and find out.

Around 300 people packed into Park Holiday Caravan Park last night to find out who the last 4 contestants to go through to the Finals of Felixstowes Got Talent 2012 on 25th February would be. Another great line up of judges volunteered to select a winner. The panel this week was made up of representatives from The Port of Felixstowe, Felixstowe Town Council, Fred Olsen Cruises and local buisnesses. What a tough night they had ahead of them and some very close scoring at the end. They saw both male and female singers from a wide age range, a majorette dance group and even some juggling thrown in for good measure. During the evening there was a grand draw with many prizes donated by local trades and businesses. The main prize this week was an iPod Touch donated and presented by Mr David Gledhill (MD Port of Felixstowe). Thanks to them and our major sponsor this year K&B Bathrooms for all thier help and support.

So as the evening came to its climax, our host and compere Mr Peter Phillips lined up the contestants for this weeks results. It was so close a recount was required. Doreen Savage (Felixstowe Town Mayor) was given the job of announcing the results in no particular order and they were........

The Judges overall Heat 3 winner was a tie betweenn Connie Lamb and Claire Caley who both received a cash prize from Felixstowe Carnival Association.

So now the Heats are over and we have the 12 acts to perform for us again next week. Tickets are now in short supply, dont leave it until the night as we are restricted to numbers, get them from the Sweet Hut in Hamilton Road before they sell out. Why not buy a bag of sweets too its gonna be a nail biting evening.
