Carnival Association AGM

This years AGM was held at the Triangle Cafe Felixstowe  on Tuesday 29th November. The meeting was attended by President of the Carnival Committee Doreen Savage (The Mayor) who chaired the evening. The Chairman Nick Barber gave thanks to the committee and volunteers for their efforts during the year and commented that during these difficult financial times this years Carnival had been a sucess. However, he said, to maintain and build on this, the comming year would need to see some changes to make the event more attractive to families. There were presentations to St John Ambulance, Felixstowe Salvation Army and St Andrews Pre School from this years carnival profits. Election for Committee 2012 took place and the following people were voted in : Nick Barber - Chairman, Jeremy Moore - Vice Chairman, Julie Bellamy - Secretary, Jan Garfield - Treasurer. Other people stood to go on to the Committee and they will be allocated roles at the next meeting.
