Felixstowe Carnival News.  

• Three new picture galleries added. These cover the 2008 procession, activities in Langer Park and the firework display.

• A picture gallery for the 2008 Carnival royalty has been added.

• The 'What's on' page has been updated with some more details of the Langer Park stage attractions.

• The Carnival Royalty has now been appointed - see the 'Royalty' page for more details.
• The programme competition has been judged - see the 'Programme Competition' page for the results.

• The auditions for the Carnival Royalty will be held on Saturday 19th April 2008 - see the 'Royalty' page for details.

• New page added for those who would like to become Carnival Royalty.
• Details of the Carnival Programme competition added.

• We are now starting our search for our new carnival Queen, Princesses and Prince. We have removed the age limits this year and everyone is welcome to apply. The dates for the audition have not been set yet, but keep an eye on the local press or check back here for details. Alternatively send your details to treasurer.delete@felixstowecarnival.org - remove the '.delete' before sending.
• We are running a competition for local children to design a picture for us, that is all about music, which is this year's theme. Letters have been distributed to local schools, so please check with your school for more details. We will try and display all the entries in a picture gallery on this website.

• Extra programme galleries added for 1958, 1959, 1960, 1961, 1966, 1969, 1976, 1978, 1979, 1980, 1981, 1984, 1986, 1992, 1993 and 1996

• Pictures of the 2007 Carnival Weekend in Langer Park added.

• 2007 AGM picture gallery added and details of donations updated

• Extra pictures added to the 2007 procession gallery and a new gallery for the 2007 fireworks has been added.

• A 2007 picture gallery has been added, if you have any pictures then contact us via the Contact page and we will put them online.

• Another Carnival Weekend over, just need to sort out all the bills and see how much is available for local charities. Also now need to start planning the next Carnival - any suggestions as to what you would like to see?

• After our previous team were unable to assist in putting up the bunting in town, the Carnival Committee would like to thank Carl Folley of Folley Electrical Services - 01394 670823 - for helping out at very short notice.

• Added picture galleries for the 2001, 2002 processions and the 2004 airshow.

• Extra pictures added to the 2006 royalty, 2006 park, 2006 airshow, 2006 procession and 2005 procession picture galleries.

• Additional photos added to the 2007 Royalty gallery, taken at the Trimley Carnival

• The Carnival programmes have been separated into their own gallery - see Programme Galleries

• Apologies to everyone who had small images when viewing the picture galleries and slideshows. This was due to a disk problem on the server.

• A new picture gallery for the 2007 Carnival royalty has been added.

• Queen tribute band - 'The Bohemians' are appearing on Saturday night

• Family Carnival tickets are now available online and in local shops. Just click on 'Langer Park Tickets' for more details.

• There is no air show on the Sunday of the Carnival Weekend this year, instead the park is opening earlier and has additional attractions during the afternoon.

• A copy of the 1999 Carnival programme has been added to the picture galleries.

• Carnival 2007 royalty appointed.
  For 2007 our Queen is 16 year old Jeyda Yilmaz with 10 year old Ela Merry and 7 year old Rachel Ray as Princesses and we also have 6 year old Nathan Chapman as Prince.
• Copies of Carnival programmes for 1975, 1977, 1982, 1983, 1987, 1988, 1989, 1987 and 1988 added to the picture galleries.

• Copies of Carnival programmes for 1967, 1968, 1971, 1972, 1973 and 1974 added to the picture galleries.

• Copies of Carnival programmes for 1962, 1963, 1964 and 1965 added to the picture galleries.
